This is My Grandmother
When I look at her I can hear her laugh
This is the last photograph I ever took of her and the last time we both knew we would spend together.
When I look at this image, I don't just see her smile
I can hear her laugh. With her head held back and eyes shut tight, her laughter danced across any room she was in.
In this frame, in this moment I captured every essence of her. There isn't an amount of money in the world that could replace this photograph.
That's why I photograph families the way I do.
Not because every image needs to be perfect...
But because one day, an ordinary photograph may become the most valuable thing you own.
